Below we wanted to show you more details about the availability of kittens in our cattery (on the basis of a post that opublikowaliśmy na naszym Facebooku w marcu 2025).
Under one of our posts on Facebook, Monia left her comment: „Nigdy nie ma wolnych kotków still reserved as I went into litter J all are taken or provisionally reserved„
We answered Monika there, but we thought we would write a separate post, because it is a fairly frequently occurring question for us…
Jesteśmy małą hodowlą
Zaczniemy od tego, że jesteśmy a small home cattery. Więc też nie mamy wielu miotów i kociaków.
And this will not change – we do not want to breed cats in large numbers. It is still meant to be a small, intimate, home cattery with well-cuddled and superbly socialised little ones (you can even read jak socjalizujemy nasze koty).
Statusy kotków na naszej stronie
Faktycznie na naszej stronie można zobaczyć listę available or of all the cats (widoczne w głównym menu strony).
There on the website, by each kitten, you will see several possible „statuses”:
Dostępny – kociak jest wolny do zarezerwowania Wstępnie zarezerwowany – kociak jest wstępnie zarezerwowany Zarezerwowany – rezerwacja została opłacona, kotek jest niedostępny In a new home – kotek pojechał do nowego domu W hodowli – kotek został w naszej hodowli
And as you can see in the image (a screenshot from the site, from 5 March), the kittens of litters I and J (which were born at the end of February) are all indeed there, either „reserved” or „provisionally reserved”. Even though some don't have any photos yet or we haven't written anything about them yet.
These people had contacted us earlier, we talked a bit and finally (if there was such a desire on both sides) they were added to a small, non-binding „waiting lists„.
To do tych osób, po urodzeniu się kociaków, odzywamy się jako pierwszych. And this before we publish any information on the website or social media! They know about it earlier 🙂
Because indeed, recently, if we publish some photos of tiny kittens, then one dawno już mają swoje domy i nie są dostępne.
Niezobowiązująca lista oczekujących
Osoby, do których się wtedy odzywamy mają chwilę na podjęcie finalnej decyzji (because maybe their life situation has changed, because maybe they have already found a kitten elsewhere, because maybe they do not want that colour/sex). That is why for a few days these kittens have the status „ Wstępnie zarezerwowane”.
During this time we show these people photos (unpublished), we talk about the colour, we talk about the sex, we talk about the amount of fur (more shaggy or more bald), and we describe and show what the parents look like. It's hard to say much about temperament yet, but our Devons usually have a similarly super temperament.
If someone makes the decision that they want that particular kitten, then we sign a contract, they pay a deposit, and we change the status to „ Reserved”. This kitten is already unavailable and in about 16 weeks it will have a new home.
Nasza sugestia?
To co możemy podpowiedzieć? Jeśli faktycznie myślicie o kociaku konkretnie z naszej hodowli – odezwijcie się wcześniej, tell us something about yourselves, what kind of kitten you are looking for, when you would like to have it.
Either we will let you know that it is better to look in other catteries (we will even suggest some), or we will actually add you to our list and get in touch as soon as the next litter is born.
Uwaga (aktualizacja z 03.2026): Our waiting list for kittens from our cattery is very long (currently over 60 people). Because of this, the waiting time for a kitten from our cattery may be extended nawet do ponad roku. We're aware that there are people who very much want a kitten from us and are willing to wait that long (we invite you to get in touch then). But if time matters to you, we suggest looking for another cattery. PS. We're also able to recommend befriended catteries that may have kittens sooner than us (feel free to reach out).
A Pedigree is an official document confirming the origin of a purebred cat. It is issued by recognized feline organizations and serves as a kind of “ID card” for the cat, containing information about its ancestors, breed, and cattery. There are NO purebred animals without a pedigree! Every purebred cat from a legal cattery should have a pedigree, and if you are buying a cat, make sure you will receive it, absolutely and without any extra conditions.
Microchipping your cat (chipping cats) – read about what a chip is, how it works, what a new Parent should know about it, what the costs look like, what microchipping cats involves (and whether it is painful), whether there are legal requirements for microchipping, whether every cat can/should have a chip, a few myths about chips, how catteries approach it, how we approach it, and finally two examples of how to use chips in a cat in an interesting way 🙂
Pain in cats is one of the most underestimated topics in their everyday care. Not because cats rarely suffer – but because they show pain very differently from what we expect. They do not cry out. They do not ask for help. Often quite the opposite – they hide, withdraw, and “shut down.” In our Kotki Kędziorki*PL cattery, we have had situations where a quick reaction saved […]
