Instead of immediately giving it access to the whole flat, we give it one room \u2013 its own <strong>w\u0142asny bezpieczny \u015bwiat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">O co musimy zadba\u0107 w takim pokoju?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In such a room the following should be found (we can prepare this BEFORE the trip to collect the kitten):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>kuweta (z dala od misek),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>miski z wod\u0105 i jedzeniem,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>legowisko lub kryj\u00f3wka (np. karton z kocem),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>drapak lub ma\u0142a p\u00f3\u0142ka,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>zabawki i materia\u0142y do obserwacji zapach\u00f3w.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I oczywi\u015bcie pami\u0119tamy o <strong>zamykaniu drzwi za sob\u0105<\/strong> kiedy wchodzimy i wychodzimy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I teraz <strong>bardzo wa\u017cna sprawa<\/strong>, because we will act differently when I only have this one new kitten at home (scenario 1 below), and differently when we already have some other animals (scenario 2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scenariusz 1: Dom bez innych zwierz\u0105t<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Czyli nowy kot trafia do <strong>domu bez innych zwierz\u0105t<\/strong>. W tym przypadku socjalizacja z izolacj\u0105 <strong>zazwyczaj nie jest konieczna*<\/strong> \u2013 as long as we are dealing with a well-socialised, brave and friendly cat\u2026 that is, exactly like <strong>nasze Devonki<\/strong>. \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our cats (raised in a home full of stimuli, people and animals) in a new place often simply look around with curiosity, jump onto the windowsill, onto the bed, under the bed, check out the scratching post \u2013 and that is it <strong>czuj\u0105 si\u0119 jak u siebie<\/strong>. We have seen it many times \u2013 they enter a new empty home and behave as if they had lived there for a week! But there is no fear \u2013 it is <strong>najcz\u0119\u015bciej bardzo \u0142agodna adaptacja<\/strong>. And most often the same day the kitten is ready to explore the whole home \ud83d\ude3c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">*<strong>Note:<\/strong> If you bought a cat from another cattery, it is worth discussing this topic with that breeder. Maybe in their case, even with one cat entering an empty home &#8211; socialisation with isolation may be needed (e.g. for a few days).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scenariusz 2: W domu s\u0105 ju\u017c inne zwierz\u0119ta<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here the situation looks different. There it can rest after the journey, get to know the smells of the new home and gain confidence. It is better to devote a few days to a calm introduction of the cat, than to spend months later solving problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even if in the end they will sleep snuggled up in one blanket together, it is worth giving them this time.
